Once, the 8th SEWC Congress was planned to be held in Shanghai, China in 2021. But the Congress was forced to be postponed to October 2022 due to the pandemic situation of Covid-19 around the world.
However, the organizers informed again that it is impossible to conduct the Congress even in 2022 considering the present situation.
As a result, it was decided that the Shanghai Congress would be postponed and the 8th SEWC Congress would be held by SEWC South Korea Group in Seoul, in 2023
9th SEWC Congress
Originally it was planned to conduct the 9th SEWC Congress in Wroclaw, Poland in 2025 by the SEWC Poland Group. However, during the Zoom/Virtual SEWC Board meeting held on May 6th of 2022, the request by SEWC China Group was discussed and accepted by SEWC Poland Group, that the Wroclaw SEWC Congress would be postponed to 2027 and the Shanghai SEWC Congress would be held in 2025 as the 9th SEWC Congress.
